Energy Products Distribution Announces Career Connect

Manny Hondroulis, vice president of Baltimore-based Energy Products Distribution (EPD), aims to impact labor challenges.

Baltimore-based Energy Products Distribution (EPD), a distributor of 3M, Bray Windshield Protection and Bird Divert products, announced the upcoming launch of Career Connect. Equating the platform as the Indeed or ZipRecruiter of the film industry, vice president Manny Hondroulis aims to pair the right technician with the right employer amid industry-wide labor challenges.

“In good times and in bad, dealers in the industry tell us that their greatest obstacle to growth is the lack of qualified installers,” Hondroulis says. “So we’re helping to do something about it. The single largest problem facing the architectural and automotive film industry is one of labor. Dealers are constantly searching for qualified film technicians who are reliable, hardworking and talented. And film technicians are continuously looking for employment that offers market-based compensation packages.”

Career Connect is free to every installer (candidate). It is also free to every dealer (employer) wanting basic access. For employers wanting enhanced access, EPD offers a premium subscription with 100% of the proceeds supporting industry charity Tinters for a Cause. Tinters for a Cause is a charitable foundation assisting members of the window film industry and their families when tragedy or hardships arise.

While anyone in the industry can use Career Connect, EPD encourages the following film technicians to do so:

• Individuals who recently entered the industry through a nationwide film technician training school; and

• Film technicians relocating to another part of the country seeking to remain in the industry.
