A Sin City Slideshow

The SEMA Show is home to an automotive industry propelled by restyling and car care accessories—namely window film, paint protection film (PPF) and ceramic coatings. The West Hall featured dozens of annual exhibitors, and it was a lot to take in. Let’s scroll through my event camera roll and re-live the event in full focus.

Like the window film, PPF and ceramic coatings industries, the SEMA Show is continuously evolving. Event organizers said the SEMA show will shift into a new event called SEMA Week starting in 2023, including the traditional trade show and new activities.

SEMA Week will host activities in multiple parts of Las Vegas, instead of exclusively at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The change will also make SEMA activities more accessible to the public, instead of the current format that is more targeted at the aftermarket industry, per organizers.

The new activities and locations will be introduced gradually over five years, the organizers said.

“By creating SEMA Week and SEMA Fest, we will be able to maintain the integrity of the trade show that makes it a must-attend event for automotive professionals while introducing a new platform for enthusiasts and the industry to engage with one another,” James Lawrence, SEMA’s chairman, said.

The SEMA Show serves as a hub for the aftermarket industry, allowing exhibitors and attendees to meet in the middle for business growth and advancement. It will be interesting to see if these entertainment elements affect that event segment.
