NGS Acquires CHB Industries and Expands Industry LeadershipJanuary 5th, 2022 by Chris Collier
National Glazing Solutions (NGS) announced it has acquired CHB Industries (CHB), expanding its sales and operations teams into the New York and Chicago markets. The acquisition is the first in the company’s history, but more are planned for 2022.
“This acquisition is unparalleled in the history of the window film industry,” says James Beale, managing partner and co-founder of NGS. “It combines the fastest growing and largest window film company—NGS—with the most storied and reputable company in the Northeast and Midwest—CHB. We are excited to add CHB’s team, resources and 30 years of industry expertise to NGS. Separately, we were good. Together, we are better.”
The acquisition follows the company’s procurement of private equity capital from Turning Basin Capital (“TBC”) and Vigeo Investments (“Vigeo”). Carol Borow, owner and president, CHB, says the match is ideal.
“NGS’ culture of professionalism, reliability, and responsiveness, combined with their mission to make buildings better fits perfectly with what we’ve spent years creating at CHB,” Borow says.
Founded in 2009 by Beale and Patrick Coyle, NGS is a dealer-installer of 3M™ Window Film, Riot Glass™, printed graphics and signage. Dan Venet, executive vice president, CHB, adds, “We are thrilled to join forces with NGS and create something unprecedented in the industry.”
CHB was founded more than 30 years ago by Borow and Venet. Beale and Coyle have assumed leadership responsibilities and management of CHB. Borow and Venet will stay on for six months to help with the transition.
The transaction closed on December 30, 2021. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
