The “Marketing” Benefits of Attending The Window Film Conference and Tint-Off (WFCT)
As I write this, I am still catching up from last week at the WFCT. As this column typically deals in topics related to marketing, I wanted to explain the benefits of attending this show as it related to this subject.
The first benefit is something I have spoken extensively about in the past—the time spent meeting new people. This benefit is obvious as you get to interact with other window film companies from all over the country. You can share what is working for you and discover what has been working for them. You may get some great ideas on how to integrate new elements into your marketing efforts that have already proven to be successful for someone else in the industry.
Another marketing benefit comes from the marketing related presentations that are given at the conference. There are a variety of speakers discussing topics directly related to marketing and others that can be used to improve your insight into marketing to your prospects. As an example, this past week featured a great presentation on body language. By understanding what body language communicates, you might be able to gain some valuable insight into how potential customers respond to your printed or digital marketing efforts in your showroom if you have one.
Finally, you can use the fact that you attended the conference in your marketing efforts to establish credibility. The fact that you attended indicates that you are taking steps to stay on top of things associated with the industry. By posting that you attended in an effort to improve your business and the offerings you bring to your customers, you demonstrate a leadership position within the space.
I hope that if you have never attended the WFCT or other industry conferences that this article will cause you to reconsider the many ways attendance can be beneficial for your business. Speaking for myself, it also reenergizes many that attend and helps them return back to their businesses with a fresh perspective and motivation to take their businesses to the next level.
I hope this article finds all of you very busy as restrictions continue to be lifted. Have a great month!
