The New Guy—A Member of the Clubhouse

Welcome back to The New Guy, a weekly blog where I—recently-hired assistant editor and newcomer to the window film industry—share my experiences, lightbulb moments and personal opinions. This week, I want to speak about Clubhouse, a rising social platform that is giving the window film industry a voice.

• For those that don’t know, Clubhouse is an invitation-only, audio-only social media app for iOS and Android that allows users to host voice chat rooms that fit up to 5,000 people. The app has more than 1 million users on a waitlist after its recent Android launch. From gaming to film to music to comedy, Clubhouse has clubs for every type of user—including those in the window film industry.

As a newcomer, Window Film Pros, a weekly club hosted by Patric Fransko and Erik Devash (founder and CEO of Tint Wiz) has been an invaluable tool as I learn more about the industry. Each Thursday at 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, the two hosts navigate the industry and bring a new topic to the table:

Window Film Pros

This group was designed to bring all window film professionals together for networking, discussion of industry topics and the sharing of ideas and information. We welcome companies and individuals involved in the installation of window film on vehicles, residences and commercial properties.

Many of my story ideas have stemmed from discussion in Clubhouse. From the power of Google reviews, to the impact of COVID-19, to the significance of Skin Cancer Awareness Month, Fransko and Devash discuss it all—and I plan to cover as well.

But Clubhouse hasn’t just been a fantastic way to learn and grow into my new role and find new leads. It’s also been a tremendous way to connect with some very welcoming industry professionals. 72 members strong, Window Film Pros is a fantastic way to grow your business, gain insight and connect with other industry professionals. I hope to see you there!
