Aegis Opens Two New Distributor LocationsJuly 31st, 2013 | Category: Industry News
Things are looking up. More window film companies continue to experience good fortune, including several recent notable manufacturing and distributor openings. Window Film magazine caught up with Baxter Lusink, director of sales for Aegis Films based in Norcross, Ga., to talk about his company’s two recent distributor openings.
WFM: Baxter, could you tell me a little about the new offices in Boynton Beach, Fla., and Phoenix, including their similarities and differences?
BL: The two new offices are relatively the same size and each house a full line up of our films and tools. Each is similar in the fact that they are centrally located to service a large concentration of local window film businesses. Each location employs industry pros who have no less than 20 years of experience with window film. The Arizona location allows us to ship until 7:00 p.m. EST for last-minute orders. Shipping from local offices also benefits our customers as it also reduces their shipping costs.
WFM: Why did Aegis choose to open these new locations?
BL: Florida and Arizona are huge markets for our industry. It became apparent to adequately service these markets; we needed to have a local presence. Our local teams are more than capable to offer technical installation and sales solutions. We also wanted to be able to service walk-in customers.
WFM: What can dealers expect to see from these new locations?
BL: Our model is simple. We offer a superior product coupled with great personalized service. We like to have friendly familiar faces to great our customers making each transaction pleasant. Customers can walk in and see examples of our film products, new marketing displays and browse through a full selection of tools.
WFM: What do these openings mean for Aegis as a company? Are you looking to continue expansion and could we see more openings in the near future?
BL: The last year has been very exciting as there have been some major changes. We are in the process of a complete rebranding—all while keeping a persistent focus on quality and process improvement. Also, the addition of the Florida and Arizona offices, along with proposed distribution points in Texas and California, make up for only a small portion of the overall plan.
WFM: Is there anything else you think would be important for readers to know?
BL: We have come a long way in our 21 years of business and things are happening at a lightning pace right now. In addition to our two new locations, we just added three new people to our Florida sales team to enhance the level of service our customers have come to expect. Also, we recently released several new films and have even more to come by late fall.
