Huper Optik International Pte Ltd. recently appointed Muscat-based Saif Hidaib Al- Wahaibi Trading and Contracts Est. as the exclusive distributor for its Huper Optik brand films in Oman. Company officials say the move reflects an aggressive strategy to expand the company’s offerings in the region.

“One of our key objectives in 2009 is to establish Huper Optik® footprints aggressively in the Middle East region,” explains Steven Teo, deputy general manager (business development) for Huper Optik International. “We are glad to have Huper Optik Oman onboard as our exclusive country distributor.”

Saif Hidaib Al-Wahaibi Trading and Contracts Est. has served Oman’s building and construction industry since 1979. In addition to importing and distributing building materials, the company also contracts, builds and renovates private and commercial buildings and offices. In addition to offering architectural films, company officials say it plans to penetrate the automotive and marine sectors as well.
“We are excited about our appointment,” says Ibrahim Al-Wahaibi, chief executive officer for Huper Optik Oman. “This is a truly high value window film product and a business that will bring real benefits to consumers and distribution partners … we are definitely going to excite and revolutionize the Omani window film market.”

Huper officials say Muscat, Oman’s capital city, marks a prime target for solar control films, as its temperatures generally soar above 50 degrees C (122 degrees F) in the hot season from May to September.
