Global Makes Distribution Changes, Reports Favorable ResultsMay 7th, 2009 | Category: Industry News
In a time when many companies are searching for ways to slim down distribution models to cut costs, at least one film manufacturer is doing the opposite. Officials for Global Window Films report that the company is bucking the trend towards downsizing and, instead, adding to and enhancing its distributor lineup.
The company’s Florida territory is now serviced by James Coleman, Sr., as distributor, and Jimmy Coleman, Jr., his sales manager.
“This father and son team owned a tint shop and had been using a different brand of film,” explains Mark Bollegar of Market Pro Direct, who handles Global’s marketing efforts. “Following a mishap with that supplier, however, they tried a sample roll of Global and were hooked.” A year later, the Coleman’s were awarded Global distribution rights for Florida, sold their dealer shop and purchased a new warehouse.
Another Global distributor recently expanded their role with the company. Based on the performance of his Virginia-based territory, Bob Jagtiani was recently awarded distributorship for a seven-state territory that extends from Kentucky and Indiana to Minnesota. Like Coleman, Jagtiani has made his Global distributorship a family affair, involving his son, Umesh, as the sales director for the operation. The two opened a new 3,200 square foot warehouse and, according to Global officials, have tripled sales in the process.
The company’s distributor for its Southern region was recently granted an expanded region. Phillip Hollocher, owner of Solar Control Films – South, a Houston-based Global distributor, recently opened Solar Control Films – Central. The St. Louis-based center is managed by his brother, Richard Hollocher, and features a new 3,000-square-foot warehouse to service Global’s central region. According to Global officials, combined, the two operations represent the fastest growing Global distributorship nationwide, have set record sales figures and are rapidly becoming the largest Global distributor in the world.
“These authorized Global distributors bring talent and experience in the film business to their operations,” Bollegar says. “Their personal touch and family-oriented approach make them easy to work with.”
