IWFA Issues Legislative Alert for Louisiana

The International Window Film Association (IWFA) has issued a legislative alert for its members in Louisiana, as House Bill 1312 has been referred to the House Transportation Committee.

The bill, as it is written currently, would limit all forms of window tint on vehicle windshields to five inches from the top, regardless of medical or security exemptions.

Right now, Louisiana state law provides for medical or security exemptions that allow vehicle windshields to be tinted up to 40 percent VLT on the front side windows and 25 percent on the rear side windows. People who have been convicted of violent crime or drug offenses are not eligible for any kind of exemption.
