Moran Shares Key Advice in Video Interview

It’s not unusual for window film dealers to seek out and add new product lines to boost sales, especially during the cooler months. But a slow economy may have some dealers searching harder than usual. A number of dealers say that’s what drew them to the latest SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

Of course window film dealers aren’t the only ones looking to diversify. Moran Industries, an automotive aftermarket franchiser that operates five brands and more than 200 franchise operations, recently added window film to its list of offerings. The Midlothian, Ill.-based company has provided tint through many of its aftermarket businesses for years, but recently decided to launch a window film-exclusive franchise called Smartview™ Window Solutions.

At the recent SEMA show, WINDOW FILM had the opportunity to sit down with Barb Moran, chief executive officer of Moran Industries, to discuss her company’s decision. With her unique vantage point, Moran was able to provide key advice to window film dealers thinking of diversifying their product offerings.
