North Carolina Looks at Bill Overseeing Window Tinting

A bill before the North Carolina Senate regulating window tint installation and light reflection was recently introduced and assigned to the state Committee on Commerce, Small Business and Entrepreneurship.

If passed, the bill would establish guidelines detailing the visible light transmission properties of the tint. Additionally, the bill would require any vehicle with an aftermarket tint to have a certificate of compliance to the tinting guidelines affixed to the vehicle's windshield.

The bill would take effect December 1, 2007, if passed.
