Bekaert Appoints Sides North American Market Manager

Bekaert Advanced Coatings, parent company to Bekaert Specialty Films, has announced that Lance Sides has joined the company as market manager for North American operations. He will be responsible for sales and marketing strategies and implementation for the United States, Canada and Mexico.

"Lance brings a wealth of experience and a deep background in the vacuum coating industry to our growing presence in the United States, Canada and Mexico," said Koen Staelens, Bekaert's regional manager for sputter products, Europe & America.

Sides joins Bekaert with nearly 20 years of experience in the vacuum coating and architectural glass manufacturing industries. He served as a vacuum coating consultant for companies such as Asahi Glass, Cardinal CG, Cardinal IG, Ford Glass, Guardian Ind. and Nippon Sheet Glass, among others. Sides has also served as the North American business manager for Unaxis/Leybold Materials.
