NFRC Certifies 45 Madico Films

Madico Inc. has announced that 45 of its films are now certified by the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC). Officials for the Woburn, Mass.-based manufacturer say the company now boasts more than twice the number of NFRC-certified films than any other film manufacturer, including its Sunscape Select®, SafetyShield® and Advanced Ceramics™ branded products.

Tom Niziolek, the company's director of sales and marketing, says NFRC certification is an example of Madico's commitment to responsible environmental policies and ethical marketing practices.

"This unprecedented 45-product certification reinforces two of Madico's most important strategic platforms, namely innovating solutions that reduce energy consumption and articulating product performance in a factual, verifiable manner," Niziolek says. "We are proud not only that so many of our products received this crucial certification, but also that our dedication to open, honest communication has been validated by such a prestigious organization."

The certification verifies that a product performs as stated in the areas of solar heat gain coefficient and visible light transmission, according to Madico. Niziolek says this rating is paramount at a time in which customers are paying close attention to the environmental claims and practices of the companies with whom they do business. "Our dealer network is now able to assure customers that the Sunscape Select, SafetyShield and Advanced Ceramics films, as well as a number of additional Madico products, have been proven to meet independent, government-monitored standards," he says. "I believe NFRC certification is the first step toward receiving an ENERGY STAR® rating and it is my personal and professional goal to help the window film industry see that day."
