It's an unfortunate fact that the words "illegal window tint" appear in a large number of police reports nationwide. Polling daily news reports from around the country will provide an exhausting number of incidents. Illegal tint is so closely associated with "suspicious vehicles," that officers frequently admit it is one of their number one tools for identifying potential criminals.

When an officer noticed a silver 2005 Dodge Magnum that had illegal window tint, he also noticed that the driver of the vehicle was dressed like an undercover officer, complete with badge and duty belt. The vehicle was equipped with red and blue lights and a siren, and different types of police equipment were discovered inside. The man claimed he worked for the Detroit Police Department, which is cooperating in the investigation. The individual was arrested, and the car was impounded.
