Film as Accomplice

It's an unfortunate fact that the words "illegal window tint" appear in a large number of police reports nationwide. Polling daily news reports from around the country will provide an exhausting number of incidents. Illegal tint is so closely associated with "suspicious vehicles," that officers frequently admit it is one of their number one tools for identifying potential criminals.

Here's a condensed list of what has surfaced in recent days:

Upper Cumberland, Tenn.-When police attempted to pull over a vehicle for illegal window tint recently, the result was a Methamphetamine lab bust. After the Officer turned on his lights, the car took off and after a high speed chase, the driver jumped out with the car still rolling and passengers inside. Following a footrace, the driver was placed in cuffs and police searched the vehicle. They found a can of lye, two 12 ounce heat bottles, a gallon of Muratic Acid, 50 PH strips, and 60 120 mg Sudophedine tablets-all items used in making Meth. Four were charged with promotion of methamphetamine manufacture. The driver was also charged with felony evading and driving on a suspended drivers license … Alpharetta, Ga.- Daytoya Watkins, 19, was arrested for possession of marijuana after being pulled for a window tint violation ... Fort Meyers, Fla.- Five people were arrested on drug related charges after a traffic stop for window tint. As deputies approached the car, 21-year-old Maria Corona dropped a gum tin near her feet. Deputies found 20 small bags of cocaine in the tin and charged all five of the vehicle's occupants with constructive possession of cocaine …
