Film as Accomplice

It's an unfortunate fact that the words "illegal window tint" appear in a large number of police reports nationwide. Polling daily news reports from around the country will provide an exhausting number of incidents. Illegal tint is so closely associated with "suspicious vehicles," that officers frequently admit it is one of their number one tools for identifying potential criminals.

Here's a condensed list of what has surfaced in recent days:


Lexington Park, Md.- Deputy J. Vezzosi conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Steven Arthur Duclos, 26, of California, for a window tint violation. Through conversation with Duclos, Deputy Vezzosi detected Duclos may have been in possession of a quantity of narcotics. Further investigation revealed Duclos was in possession of 86, 10 mg tablets of Hydrocodone not contained in a prescription pill bottle with his name on it, which is a violation of the law. Duclos was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, Hydrocodone, and two counts of removing a label on a prescription drug as required by law … Baton Rouge, La.-a former LSU running back was arrested after being pulled for a tint violation. The event resulted in a charge for possession of drugs and a gun charge … Princeton, N.J.-Michael Rosso, 24, was pulled when police say they noticed his illegally tinted windows. They then noticed the smell of marijuana coming from inside the car. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of marijuana under 50 grams, reckless driving, improper window tint, driving an uninsured vehicle and possessing a controlled and dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
