EPD Puts New Facility to Work

Energy Products Distribution (EPD) moved into a new office facility recently and the Baltimore, Md.-based distributor wasted no time in putting its new space to work. The facility was designed to include additional audio-visual capabilities aimed at enhancing the company's continuing education forum: EPD University. The investment proved its worth this past December, when the company hosted 27 film professionals for an International Window Film Association (IWFA) Solar Control accreditation course. Company officials report that the session is believed to be the largest of its kind to date.

EPD president, Jim Hondroulis, initiated training to further dealers' technical knowledge and to provide an opportunity for participation in IWFA's Utility Awareness Program. Two accreditation sessions were provided: Solar Control, in the morning, and Security, in the afternoon. Darrell Smith, IWFA's executive director, presented the training material utilizing EPD's new wall-mounted, high-definition television system. Dealers visited from as far away as Portland, Maine, to participate and EPD officials report that all 27 participants passed the Solar Control accreditation requirements.
