3M Gains NFRC Certification

As household budgets tighten, homeowners are increasingly skeptical about which improvements they choose to make to their homes. A number of manufacturers have announced new product certifications and cite these accomplishments as a viable way to penetrate buyer scrutiny. 3M is among the latest. The company announced recently that the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) has certified a range of its window film products, including its metal-free Prestige Series.

"Affirmation of the quality of 3M window films is one of the things customers seek at a time when ways to increase commercial and residential energy savings are top of mind for consumers," says Michael Hassenauer with 3M Window Film.

NFRC certification affirms a product meets rigid energy performance factors for windows and doors and for attachment systems.
