Solar Art Window Film Acquires another LA-Area Film CompanyMay 6th, 2015 by Casey Flores
Solar Art Window Film is on a proverbial roll, purchasing a second film company in just a few months.
The Irvine, Calif.-based company recently acquired San Diego Glass Coatings and just last week added another window film company to its portfolio: Royal Window Films (RWF) in Anaheim, Calif.
“The acquisition of RWF will be instrumental in our expansion giving us the flexibility to manage multiple large projects and facilitate installations not only in our immediate territory but into new markets as well,” says Matthew Darienzo, CEO. “Although this is one of our largest acquisitions to date, the RWF staff and installers are experts in their field and should make for a seamless transition.”
Darienzo says acquisitions like this can take a while to pan out.
“We look to grow in different ways. We want to do it internally and organically but also finding other companies that can complement what you do is a good way to grow your company also,” he says. “The companies have to have some synergies together.”
Dareienzo says Solar Art does not plan to acquire any other companies at this time—but remains open to future possibilities.
John Henderson, former owner of RWF, will stay on in a commercial sales role for the company.
“The combination of our two companies was an exciting idea and we are confident Solar Art can service our existing customers to the high standard that we’ve set at Royal for so many years,” he says.
