Gila Window Film Donates $35,000 to Susan G. KomenOctober 9th, 2013 by Editor
Eastman Chemical Company’s Gila® Window Film is observing Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October with a minimum guaranteed donation of $35,000 to Susan G. Komen For the Cure®. During October and November 2013, Gila will have a promotional display at participating Lowe’s featuring commemorative pink packaging in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness.
The special packaging with the Komen Running Ribbon will be on four products from Gila’s Glass Scenes window film collection: Crackled Glass, Spiral Mosaic, Autumn Frost and Shimmer.
“So many lives are touched by breast cancer—whether your mother, sister, neighbor, co-worker—we all know someone who has battled this difficult disease,” says Dan Birkenmeier, global business manager for Eastman’s performance films. “Our partnership with Komen allows Eastman to aid in generating awareness of Komen’s mission to save lives and end breast cancer forever.”
“These unique products will allow shoppers nationwide to express their commitment to ending breast cancer throughout their homes,” says Dorothy Jones, vice president of marketing at Komen. “We are pleased to have the support of Gila this October and beyond, and hope people everywhere will join in, displaying their passion for this cause.”
