Roland DGA Announces 2010 Workshops and WebinarsJanuary 21st, 2010 by Editor
Roland DGA Corporation has announced its 2010 Roland University workshop schedule. “Our goal at Roland University is to help customers realize the full benefits of their Roland equipment while they develop new skills to take their businesses to the next level,” says Rick Scrimger, vice president and general manager. “This year, we have brought back our most popular classes and introduced new workshops, including online options. Each is designed to provide valuable market insights and hands-on instruction.”
Offered in Irvine, Calif., online and in various cities across the nation, the workshops are designed to provide attendees in-depth knowledge of Roland equipment, software and supplies. In addition, they teach new workflows and applications to help professionals increase their profits and expand their businesses.
Some of this year’s events include:
Digital Printing Boot Camp (New)
Lead by instructor David Goetter, this course allows Roland inkjet owners to work directly with Goetter in this three-day course. Workshop participants will receive detailed instruction on the top ten sign industry applications and will complete a professional sample book of projects based on each one. Students will graduate with new skills to help expand their product lines and build stronger, more profitable digital printing businesses.
Born To Wrap Vehicle Graphics Workshop
Now in its fourth year, the Born to Wrap workshop is designed to teach professionals everything they need to know to profit from the growing vehicle graphics market. Working side by side with the experts at Digital EFX Wraps, students will wrap an entire vehicle from bumper to bumper, learning first hand how to take the job from the estimation stage to finished wrap. The class includes an overview of media and lamination options and hands-on instruction in the proper way to apply digitally printed graphics.
In addition, courses are also available as part of the new webinar series. Included in this line-up is the SV Series Online Workshop. This STIKA webinar teaches about the benefits of vinyl cutting with STIKA portable vinyl cutters and how to produce signs, vehicle lettering, decals and digital apparel items made from a wide assortment of materials.
